Two chiropractic physicians who own a growing Florida network of auto injury clinics ended up in their field quite literally by accident.
Despite that inauspicious start, the company, RejuvenX, has had some big growth of late and has even bigger goals — all in a highly-regulated and highly-competitive industry. The Florida Legislature has taken up auto insurance and related issues of late, mostly in an attempt to curtail costs, and the personal injury attorney side of the industry has long been a target of statewide reform.
The RejuvenX founders, Tim DeCanio and Jeremiah Joseph, step into this fray with a core goal to grow from 14 locations, spread from Naples to Tampa to West Palm Beach, to 25 locations by 2027 and 50 locations by 2030. The company, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Port Charlotte, currently has 135 employees. Revenue was up 31% last year over 2024, and the company has recently taken on some private equity capital. (Company officials decline to disclose specific revenue figures or equity terms.)
And, as the company navigates a big challenge for any growing business — maintaining high-quality service amid expansion — the founders have a lofty north star: to become a household name with locations across Florida like the law firm Morgan & Morgan and grocer Publix.
Growth like that probably isn't what DeCanio was thinking about when he fell out of a truck at 16 and had what he describes as “wild headaches” that nobody could figure out — that is, until he went to a chiropractor.
“I got relief, and it changed my life,” DeCanio says. “That's why I'm here.”
Joseph also had an injury in high school. While playing basketball for Cardinal Mooney, the Sarasota school he and his friend DeCanio both attended, he says, “I went up for a rebound, and somebody went underneath me. I actually landed straight down on my head and went to the hospital.”
In the weeks that followed, Joseph began suffering from migraines until he was taken to a chiropractor who figured out there was something wrong with his neck. After that, he says, he had his “first inclination” that he wanted to become a medical doctor.
“We've really dedicated our entire life to just making sure that the patients get the same care that we received from the two people that transformed our lives,” Joseph says.
In that pay-it-forward way, RejuvenX's 14 statewide locations provide auto accident injury care, therapeutic rehabilitation, chiropractic, MRI and nonpharmacological pain management services.
“What we're trying to do is just encompass everything all under one roof,” Joseph says, “giving patients better, faster and more convenient access to care.”
The experiences the doctors had as patients have shaped the foundation of their company.
“What really has given us our biggest vision and passion for what we do … [that] I was a patient first, and I knew the suffering of what it was like prior to getting into care — we never forget that,” DeCanio says.
The company had nearly 70,000 patient visits in 2025. Its secrets to success involve staying in its niche and keeping patients at the center of its mission.
That niche is specific — and vulnerable.
“When someone's in a car accident … their life has now been disheveled,” Joseph says. “These patients are scared, they're hurt, they're confused, and they don't know what to do. And our job is to navigate that entire process … so that they can get back to what they need to do.”
RejuvenX has carved out time for same-day appointments at its clinics to ensure that it will be able to see people in crisis, and it is open on Saturdays. The business offers referrals for attorneys, car rentals, psychotherapy and other services.
Neck and back injuries and headaches are the most common issues at RejuvenX, followed by disc injuries, according to DeCanio.
Sometimes patients have been hit in a vehicle at 17 mph and don’t understand why they are hurting so badly, he says, explaining that the body absorbs the impact of the crash.
Auto injury cases have “complexity,” DeCanio says, based on the angles, forces and vectors involved in the collision. A patient may have been looking up at the rearview mirror, for example, which could make it painful to turn a certain way.
“We customize the treatment depending on your injuries,” DeCanio says. “Some people never come back because they're fine. Some people come three times a week.”
The company works to "make sure we stay within our niche,” says DeCanio. “If you're everything to everyone, then you're no one to most people.”
What he calls the "guiding light" for RejuvenX is that everything is centered around the patients, who are generally 34 to 51 years old.

While the cases the company handles are complex, the coverage for them is simple: Under Florida law, as long as a patient is evaluated within 14 days of an auto accident, their auto insurance coverage applies.
“When someone's involved in an auto accident in Florida, your auto insurance covers your bodily injury, and a lot of people don't know that,” says DeCanio, who adds that this “gives access” to people who may not have been able to afford care.
Nearly all of the clients who come to RejuvenX — 90% — are by way of referral, DeCanio says.
“We work with over 1,000 medical facilities in the area that refer business to us,” DeCanio says.
“When your primary care physician chooses us to take care of you, it means we're doing it right. That's the thing I'm most proud of, truly — our network of people that trust us," he continues. "When other physicians say, 'This is where you should go,' to me, that's the pinnacle of health care.”
As its reputation grows, so does the footprint of RejuvenX.
RejuvenX first began expanding in 2021 and had a failed attempt that has since guided its current plans. At the time, RejuvenX had three clinics — in Royal Palm Beach, West Palm Beach and Port Charlotte — when it opened one in Osprey.
“We learned a tremendous amount, from doctor selection to location to policies, procedures, everything,” DeCanio says.
Ultimately, the Osprey location closed, and the experience gave the owners pause.
“We basically just went back and said, Look, we need to … make sure, before we expand, that we do it right,” DeCanio says.
Now, RejuvenX has 11 clinic locations around the state, as well as two pain management clinics and an MRI facility. It will be expanding with clinics in Brandon and Clearwater later this year.
On the private equity side, the firm in 2025 received backing from Accident Care Alliance and Garnett Station Partners, both of which are based in New York. The partnership enabled the company to add Saturday hours, according to DeCanio, who notes: “We still control the business. We're still in charge of it. We make every decision … It just allows us to grow in a bigger capacity.”
Up next? Become that household name.
“The biggest challenge is to ensure that we stay that same local, homegrown feel as we expand,” DeCanio says.
RejuvenX has a clear roadmap for how to do that, according to Joseph.
“As you grow a business, you have to maintain that the patients come first. The people that work for you come second,” Joseph says. “If you have a good process, then you'll have a good product, and then you'll be referred to by everyone.”
