A Canadian custom apparel company is opening a facility in Lakewood Ranch that will serve as its U.S. headquarters.

The company is Quebec-based Printeez and it has leased a 34,020-square-foot space at the Gates Creek Corporate Center at 11125 Gatewood Drive.

Printeez CEO Shawn Sckoropad says in a statement that Printeez chose the location, in part, because of its infrastructure and the area’s growing workforce, calling it “an ideal base for distributing our products efficiently across the United States.”

“This location will allow us to control our entire supply chain natively and provide much faster, seamless service to our American clients,” he says.

According to Ian Black Real Estate, which represented the landlord and announced the agreement, the company will use the space as a production and warehouse facility.

Lease terms were not disclosed nor were details on the number of employees to be hired.

The plan calls for the facility to be built out to include office and warehouse space, with the hopes Printeez will move in this summer.

The company, which makes print-on-demand and embroidered clothing, is moving into Building 2 at Gates Creek, a just-built 112,914-square-foot industrial property developed by Richland Capital Holdings.

In addition to the expansion to Lakewood Ranch, Printeez is currently building out a new 41,000-square-foot production and warehouse facility in Quebec.

Ian Black’s Nick DeVito II and Brie Tulp represented the landlord in the transaction, along with Trey Carswell and Lisa Ross of Cushman & Wakefield.

Printeez was not represented by an outside broker.
