A donut maker known for drawing long lines of fans to its powder-blue food truck and store in The Landings is now opening a second shop. This week, Peachey’s Baking Co. is holding a grand opening for its newest brick-and-mortar location, at 999 Cattlemen Road, Unit E, in Sarasota.

The storefront on Cattlemen Road opened in February, less than a year after the business launched its first shop; Peachey’s Baking Co. opened its doors in The Landings in May 2025.

Having stores in two shopping centers comes after years of brand-building. Brothers Nate and Sam Peachey have gained a cult following with their Peachey’s Baking Co. donut truck, which appears at local events from November to April, selling large made-from-scratch donuts and pretzels. The food truck also travels to fairs around Florida, New York, Iowa, Minnesota and North Carolina, and it stops many Saturdays at Crowder Bros. Ace Hardware in Lakewood Ranch.

The Peacheys come from an Amish background, and they honed their baking skills while growing up on a farm in North Carolina, the Business Observer previously reported. In 2007, Peache's Baking Co. was founded, and it has gained a national following, including appearing at the Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee.

On Cattlemen Road, the store is in the 999 Cattlemen Road plaza in a space that is approximately 1,480 square feet. The business, which sells donuts as well as pretzels and coffee drinks, regularly posts on its Facebook page what kinds of donuts it is selling at each store. This week it will offer original vanilla glazed donuts, snickerdoodle, chocolate ganache and brown butter maple donuts on Cattlemen Road.

The grand opening will be from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 13 and 14. One free glazed donut will be given away to each person who attends, and there will be additional “fun customer giveaways each day,” Peachey’s says on Facebook. Regular hours at the store are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. or sell out, Tuesday to Saturday.
