Home sales for $10 million and up are hitting Collier County this spring as fast, seemingly, as a moonbound rocket.
The latest in that category: a waterfront estate on Marco Island has sold for $11.9 million. It’s the highest sale on Marco year-to-date, according to a statement from Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, which represented the sellers, and is the fourth-highest sale ever recorded on the island. The only sales higher, according to the MLS report for Collier County, were for $12.1 million, $13.3 million and $14.8 million.
The Marco sale comes a day after another real estate firm announced it had sold a home at 4300 Brynwood Drive in the Quail West Golf & Country Club in Naples for $11.3 million.
The Marco Island estate is at 1829 South Inlet Drive. The sale had not been recorded yet in Collier County records, and no information was publicly available on the buyers. The sellers, under the name Compton Holdings II LC of Lawrence, Kansas, paid $2.35 million for the house in May 2018, Collier County property records show. (The address of Compton Holdings matches the address of First Management Inc and FIrst Construction, a Kansas-based builder founded by Douglas Compton that says it’s done some $500 million in greenfield site development for residential and commercial projects.)
In the Estate section of Marco Island, the residence was built in 2020 and spans more than 7,200 square feet of air-conditioned living space. The home features six bedrooms, eight-and-a-half baths, a private study and a theater room, with expansive living areas oriented toward panoramic views of Caxambas Pass and the gulf. The property sits on about half an acre with 125 feet of direct waterfront, offering a private deepwater dock with two slips and lifts. Outdoor living includes a resort-style pool and spa, multiple seating areas and a fully equipped summer kitchen designed for entertainment.
The property was represented by Jim Prange and Nikki Prange-Carroll, a father-daughter real estate duo, who, the release states, have now represented 13 sales above $7 million on Marco Island. In the $4.5 million-and-above category, the team, the release adds, has recorded eight sales, “further reinforcing their position in the high-end waterfront market.” The pair has also previously sold the two most expensive lots on Marco Island, at $11 million and $10.75 million.
This story was updated to reflect that Prange and Prange-Carroll haven't sold the four most expensive homes ever on Marco Island.
