Riverview-based homebuilder Casa Fresca Homes has named a new CEO and restructured its leadership team to help bolster its continued growth, the company announced.

Casa Fresca, a subsidiary of Homes by WestBay, has tapped Mark Metheny to be its new CEO. Metheny is the former president of both Casa Fresca, the company’s attainable housing brand and Homes by West Bay Land Development, according to the release. He will continue to oversee Homes By West Bay Land Development in his new role.

In addition, it was announced late last year that, by the end of 2027, Metheny will succeed Willy Nunn, Homes by West Bay’s founder and current president and CEO. Nunn was a Business Observer Top Entrepreneur in 2022.

“I am honored to lead our Casa Fresca team and could not be more proud of all we are accomplishing,” Metheny says in the release. “Frankly, everything starts and ends with that excellent and committed professional team who believes in creating a great community first and bringing a sincere 'get it done right' attitude to every homebuyer every day.”

Under Metheny’s leadership, five Casa Fresca team members will also move into new roles, the release says. That includes:

  • Richard Thompson, the former West Florida Division Manager for Casa Fresca Homes, will succeed Metheny as President of the company. Thompson joined the team in 2022 as vice president of Construction Operations.
  • Dale Human, a 19-year veteran of the homebuilding industry, was promoted to Casa Fresca’s Central Division Manager after previously served as its vice president of sales operations.
  • Dominique Hernandez has been promoted from Casa Fresca’s Central Division to the West Division Manager position. Hernandez joined Casa Fresca Homes’ parent company, Homes by WestBay, in 2015 as a community manager.
  • Jeff Morin brings more than 22 years experience in the homebuilding industry and has been promoted to Casa Fresca’s Central Division sales director. Morin joined West Bay/Casa Fresca in 2024.
  • Kaidy Solesky was promoted to corporate director of marketing for Homes by WestBay and brings a decade of experience in strategic marketing and homebuilding, the release says.

Homes by WestBay, with a portfolio that includes communities in Pasco, Hillsborough and Manatee, was founded in 2009. According to the release, the company had than $700 million in sales last year and has 11,490 owned or controlled lots in its pipeline.
