For the health conscious and time-pressed, a meal prep concept out of South Florida is currently under construction in St. Petersburg. Ideal Nutrition, which was founded in West Palm Beach, is opening a 1,770 square-foot store at 360 Second Ave. S., on the ground-floor of the 23-story, 220-unit Evo apartment building. Ideal is set to open in late 2025.

Offering weekly subscriptions and pay-as-you-go services, the meals are delivered fresh with frozen gel packs or can be picked up at the retail location. Options include shrimp scampi, Thai peanut chicken and turkey taco bowl dishes, with frequent menu changes.

“We are thrilled to bring Ideal Nutrition to St. Petersburg,” says Wolfgang Brunet, founder and CEO of Ideal Nutrition says in a statement. “This city has a vibrant and health-conscious community, and we look forward to providing residents with a fast, affordable and delicious way to enjoy nutritious meals every day.”

Ideal Nutrition was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in West Palm Beach. It currently has eight retail locations — West Palm Beach, Miami, Boca Raton, Palm Beach Gardens, Wellington, Stuart and Gainesville. The St. Pete location is the first foray into the Tampa Bay market.
