Pause Studio, a Los Angeles-based chain of wellness centers, is opening a new space in Tampa.
The center will be in the city’s $1 billion Midtown Tampa development and Pause says it is expected to open March 22.
The local Pause location will the one of the company’s first in the state, with centers scheduled to open soon in Miami’s Coral Gables, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
According to Pause’s website, there are six centers currently open in Southern California and at least a dozen others across the country listed as “coming soon.”
A statement from Pause says the Tampa location will offer an “array of holistic services.” Those include floatation therapy, contrast / sauna rooms, LED light therapy, cryotherapy, compression therapy, IV drips and vitamin shots.
The company says its services “are designed to stack and complement one another making for a unique wellness experience, with all modalities available under one roof.”
The local studio will be owned by franchisees Bob and Alicia Tait.
Midtown Tampa is a 1.8 million-square-foot development on North Dale Mabry, just off Interstate 275, that includes retailers, restaurants and apartments as well as hotel rooms and office space. Among its current tenants are REI Co-op, Whole Foods, Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux, Shake Shack and the Tampa-based technology staffing company Kforce.
An 18-story office building is also under construction within the development. Tampa Electric and People's Gas will take 11 floors and move about 900 employees when the work is done.
