A project in Manatee County that will bring more than 250 build-to-rent homes to Palmetto is now under construction.

CBI Construction Services, based in Alabama, has officially begun construction on the community off Moccasin Wallow Road, which is called Abrazo at Robinson Gateway.

When built out, Abrazo at Robinson Gateway will include 258 cottage-style homes. It will also feature a clubhouse, pool, community garden, putting green and two dog parks.

Third Lake Development LLC, which is headquartered in Tampa, is overseeing the project, which will encompass 290,883 rentable square feet. Projected completion for Abrazio at Robinson Gateway is 2027, according to Third Lake Development’s website, which says BSB Design is the architect.

With a focus on build-to-rent, multifamily and self-storage facilities in the Southeastern United States, Third Lake Development reports it is on track to complete more than 9,000 units in the next three years. Among its projects in development around the region are the build-to-rent community Abrazo at Bella Terra in Venice; multifamily projects Arcadia at Bella Terra in Venice and Arcadia at Wiregrass Ranch in Wesley Chapel; and a self-storage facility in Osprey.
