Tampa-based Satisfi Labs was recently announced as one of ten companies to join Comcast NBCUniversal’s SportsTech program. It is one of two Florida companies to earn a spot, alongside Transmit, a monetization platform based out of Miami.

Launching in Atlanta this week, the goal of the six month program is to accelerate research and development of different firms with sports-specific focuses, such as athlete performance and fan engagement, through testing and collaboration with partners of the program. The companies will be working with NBC Sports, Comcast Spectacor, the GOLF Channel, NASCAR and PGA TOUR, to name a few, according to a statement.

Satisfi Labs, founded in 2016, bills itself as a conversational experience platform focusing on sports, entertainment and tourism sectors. Its AI-powered chatbot serves as an agent for brands to communicate with customers.

“This year's cohort has developed a diverse range of cutting-edge technologies poised to impact the future of sports, including in the areas of fan experience, athlete performance and venue operations,” says Jenna Kurath, vice president of startup partnerships and head of Comcast NBCUniversal SportsTech. in the statement.

According to the release from the company, SportsTech alumni have achieved more than 162 pilots, partnerships, and commercial deals with consortium partners since its inception in 2021. Chosen out of 1,600 applicants, the latest class is mostly U.S. based companies and also includes firms from Dubai, Ireland and Iceland.
