$590 million Naples construction firm names new division head

Naples-based DeAngelis Diamond recently named its new national director of safety and quality. Paris Smith-Higbie will oversee both the quality and health and safety teams.

“We are thrilled to announce the promotion of Paris Smith-Higbie to national director of safety and quality,” says Brian Hood, vice president of field operation at DeAngelis Diamond in a released statement. "Paris brings a wealth of experience in life safety and a deep passion for quality excellence to this pivotal role. We look forward to his leadership in advancing our safety and quality initiatives."

Smith-Higbie joined the firm in 2022 as a safety manager and was promoted to director of quality assurance when the company added a quality assurance department in 2023. According to a statement from the company, he is a certified Q/C Manager through the Army Corps of Engineers, certified with building envelope systems, and a former nationally certified Chief Fire Marshal.

DeAngelis Diamond was founded in 1996 by CEO David Diamond and President John DeAngelis and has since grown to serve a plethora of industries, including aviation, multifamily and senior living, to name a few. In 2024 the company generated $590 million across eight locations in four states.
