A national builder is opening a new residential community in Palmetto, north Manatee County. Pepper Grove is being created by Los Angeles-based KB Home.
The property where the community is being developed is off 36th Avenue between 37th Street East and 29th Street East. KB Homes Tampa LLC purchased 58.68 acres there for $7 million in February 2024, according to Manatee County property records.
KB Home plans to build 264 single-family homes at Pepper Grove starting in the $300,000s, according to a spokesperson for the company. No two homes are the same, as designers work with buyers so each residence is constructed according to their preferences. All of the homes incorporate open, light-filled spaces and are Energy Star certified. There are 14 floor plans with up to six bedrooms and three bathrooms, ranging from 1,200 to 3,000 square feet.
“We are pleased to offer homebuyers in the Sarasota-Bradenton area spacious new one- and two-story homes on oversized homesites with conservation views and planned community amenities, including a pool, cabana and children’s playground,” Douglas Guy, president of KB Home’s Tampa division, says in a statement.
The sales office and model homes are open at 3459 Canberra Place in Palmetto.
KB Home has built nearly 700,000 homes since it was founded in 1957. The company did $6.9 billion in revenue in 2024. Other communities is it building in Manatee County include Creekside at Rutland Ranch in Parrish, Heron Glen in Palmetto and Sawgrass Lakes in Parrish.
