Lakewood Ranch’s highest-priced sale thus far in 2025 closed in mid-April, a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom home built in 2002 in The Country Club enclave of Portmarnock. It sold for $5.9 million.
Initially listed for $6.9 million in early 2024, the sale at 7045 Portmarnock Place — 14.49% off from that first listing price — stands just behind the highest prices ever in Lakewood Ranch. Other top sales include a $6.3 million sale on 1.5 acres in The Lake Club; a home a few doors down on the same street for $6.28 million; and a $5.95 million sale in The Concession.
The most recent home was built on .66 lakefront acres on the country club’s golf course. According to Michael Saunders and Co., which promoted the sale on social media, it’s the highest price for a property ever sold in The Country Club section of Lakewood Ranch.
Tina Ciaccio of Michael Saunders and Co. handled the sale. James Tassell of Jason Mitchell Real Estate represented the buyers.
According to county property records, the home has 8,663 square feet of living area and was recently remodeled. Records were not updated as of April 14 to reflect the latest sale. The most recent recorded sale before this purchase was in July 2020, when Keith and Rochelle Reeves sold the home to Ben Cornish and Mamie Stroud of Bradenton, records show.
In April, Michael Saunders & Co. also facilitated the sale of Sarasota County’s highest price home in 2025 – a $14.8 million transaction for a new-construction property in Harbor Acres.
