Bank of Tampa new hire to spearhead digital banking

The Bank of Tampa recently appointed new leadership in dual roles. Charlton Laird will serve as senior vice president and chief digital officer of the bank. 

Laird previously served as president of digital banking at Equity Bank in Wichita, Kansas and as director of financial and market Strategies with bank intelligence at Fiserv in Austin, Texas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Charlton to our leadership team,” says Corey Neil, president and CEO of The Bank of Tampa in a statement. “With his proven track record in digital banking and strategic transformation, we are confident he will drive innovation and enhance our digital offerings, ultimately providing exceptional experiences for our clients.”

In his new role, Laird will lead the bank’s digital strategy. Earlier this year Bank of Tampa rolled out a new digital banking platform for its commercial and personal clients to streamline its offerings.

The Bank of Tampa is a privately held community bank founded in 1984. It has offices in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota and Manatee counties. The bank’s assets total more than $3 billion.
