Creative Contractors, a $190 million Clearwater-based firm, recently completed the construction of a magnet school in Pasco County.

The schedule for the build of Kirkland Ranch K-8 was October 2022 through September. The school opened for the academic year in August after the $62.8 million was completed on time and on budget, according to a statement.

“Kirkland Ranch K-8 is a magnificent project of which we are particularly proud. We’re grateful to Pasco County Schools for entrusting with the continuation of the development of the Kirkland Ranch property. Coupled with Kirkland Ranch Academy of Innovation which we completed in 2022, the addition of the K-8 allows families to start and finish their K-12 education on a single, beautiful campus,” remarks Creative Contractors president Josh Bomstein in a released statement.

According to Pasco Schools, Kirkland Ranch focuses on World Languages and Entrepreneurship as magnet themes. Students start language acquisition in kindergarten and can earn high school language credits in middle school. The entrepreneurship program helps students develop entrepreneurial skills from a young age, integrating these with core subjects.

The school is made up of 86 classrooms, 140 staff members and can serve up to 1,600 students in two buildings.

Creative Construction was founded in 1974. The firm builds community and institutional projects, including hospitals, schools/universities, cultural facilities, municipal buildings, and wellness/recreation spaces all across Tampa Bay.
