The former president of Long & Foster Real Estate has been appointed the president of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.

In her new role, Jackie Thiel will support the growth of the Naples-headquartered firm that has 40 offices across Florida and North Carolina.

Thiel will report to Premier Sotheby’s CEO Budget Huskey, the past president who will continue to lead overall operations and strategy for the company, which did $8.3 billion in sales in 2023.

"Jackie brings an exceptional blend of operational expertise and leadership experience, particularly in scaling large brokerages while respecting that culture is the foundation for success,” Huskey says in a statement.

Most recently as president at Long & Foster, one of the largest independent real estate companies in the country, Thiel oversaw operations for 9,000 agents across eight states and 200 offices, according to a statement, which says she has more than 30 years of real estate leadership experience.

At Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, she will oversee day-to-day operations and focus on strengthening advisor resources, expanding the firm’s core offerings and ensuring service is exceptional.

"Premier Sotheby’s International Realty is synonymous with excellence in luxury real estate,” Thiel says in a statement. “I am excited to collaborate with such a talented group of professionals and build on the company's strong foundation. Working alongside Budge, whose leadership has set such a high standard, is an honor, and together, we will continue to elevate the customer experience and reinforce our position as the leaders in the luxury market within our regional footprint.”
