A new Nordstrom Rack store is coming to Sarasota. Nordstrom made the announcement Oct. 22 that the new store would open in 2026.

This will mark the second Nordstrom Rack for the area, which also has a store in The Shoppes at University Town Center.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, which is based in Seattle, Washington. It sells on-trend items like apparel, beauty products and home decor for up to 70% off, according to a statement from Nordstrom.

The 27,000-square-foot store will be located off U.S. 41 at Stickney Point Road in the Sarasota Pavilion, which is owned by Illinois-headquartered InvenTrust Properties. Other tenants at the shopping center include Marshalls, Publix, Five Below and Ross Dress for Less. Nordstrom Rack will be in part of the space formerly occupied by Bed, Bath & Beyond, according to an InvenTrust representative.

"We're thrilled to welcome Nordstrom Rack to Sarasota Pavilion," InvenTrust Vice President of Leasing Ken Wygle says in a statement. "We can't wait for shoppers to enjoy the incredible selection and fantastic deals Nordstrom Rack is known for. This addition reflects our commitment to providing our customers with a diverse and high-quality retail experience.”

The store in Sarasota is expected to open in spring 2026.

The Sarasota location is one of several under development in Florida. A new Nordstrom Rack store will open in Melbourne in fall 2025, with another in Coral Springs coming around the same time, according to a statement from Nordstrom.

The company generates 2,800 jobs in Florida, the statement says.

Nordstrom Rack currently operates 19 stores in Florida, and Nordstrom has six locations, according to a statement from the company, which says the largest source of new customers to Nordstrom is Nordstrom Rack.

"We're excited to grow our footprint in these regions and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience,” Nordstrom Rack President Gemma Lionello says in a statement. "We look forward to being a part of the Melbourne and Sarasota communities and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices.”
