A Sarasota company that recently merged with another life sciences organization will change its name and trading symbol.

INVO Biosciences, which combined with NAYA Biosciences as of Oct. 14, has changed its corporate name to NAYA Biosciences Inc. and will begin trading under the new symbol NAYA on the Nasdaq when the market opens Oct. 22, according to a statement from the company.

“We believe the name change and new trading symbol better reflects our expanded corporate strategy,” CEO of the combined company, Steve Shum, says in a statement.

INVO Biosciences is focused on fertility treatments and clinics. NAYA Biosciences is dedicated to creating clinical-stage assets in oncology and autoimmune diseases. The new company, NAYA Biosciences Inc., will engage in the fertility business as well as clinical-stage treatments for oncology and autoimmune diseases.

“Combining scalable, profitable revenues from our fertility business with the upside of innovative therapeutics optimizes risk-return for investors,” Shum says. “In addition, the hub-and-spoke model allows for shared resources and talent to accelerate the development of our lean, agile subsidiaries.”
