Midtown at Bonita, a 68-acre mixed-use development under construction in Bonita Springs, has landed several new eateries and retailers for the commercial portion of the project.

The Zuckerman Group, the developer, announced a line up Monday that includes a mix of national chains and local businesses and says it is currently negotiating leases with several other tenants. Those are expected to be announced soon.

The $67 million development is a pedestrian friendly center under construction on Bonita Beach Road, about a quarter mile east of Interstate 75. It will include 315,000 square feet of space for retail and restaurants, lakes and proposed office space.

It is scheduled to open in 2026.

Along with the other uses, a 400-unit luxury apartment complex is being built on the site. A spokesperson says that should be completed in the next 24 to 30 months.

The project’s website also shows a 165-room hotel is coming.

Andrew Zuckerman, president of The Zuckerman Group, says in the statement that the idea behind Midtown at Bonita is to build a “community-centered destination where residents and visitors can indulge in top-tier dining, shopping, lifestyle, entertainment, services and wellness experiences.”

National tenants announced Monday include Chipotle Mexican Grill and Panera Bread. Other tenants include:

  • Club Pilates: A boutique fitness studio.
  • Good Vets: A full-service veterinary clinic.
  • Jeff’s Bagel Run: A Florida bagel bakery chain with several locations in the Orlando area and in the South.
  • Noire the Nail Bar
  • Bonita Beach Wine & Spirits
  • The Hangry Bison: An Orlando area restaurant that serves Bison burgers, craft cocktails, craft beer and has an extensive whiskey and bourbon selection. This will be its third location.
