OnMed, a telehealth company founded in Tampa in 2012, recently added a trio of leaders to its board. The three include: Heyward Donigan, Ken Goulet and former U.S. Rep Kendrick Meek (RD-Miami).

Meek represented the 17th Congressional District of Florida from 2002 to 2010. As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee he was successful in sponsoring and passing legislation focused on health care issues, including the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and the Healthcare Reconciliation Act, according to a statement. Prior to the federal election, Meek served as a member of the Florida House of  and Florida Senate.

“Our current health care system isn't set up for success and overlooks countless Americans. The need for a more equitable system is urgent, and I’ve seen first-hand that equity starts with improving access to care,” says Meek in the statement. “I’m honored to play a role in supporting OnMed’s mission: improving access by bringing tech-enabled hybrid care to underserved communities that need it most.”

Donigan served as president and CEO of Rite Aid from 2019-2023. She currently serves in a variety of consulting and advisory roles in other healthcare focused organizations. Goulet has three decades of experience in health care, serving in executive leadership roles for Cigna, WellPoint and Anthem.

OnMed specializes in hybrid CareStations, which can host virtual or in-person patient visits. The company licenses its technology and care delivery model to a wide range of organizations, including governments, employers, colleges, health care provider systems, payors, and high-traffic venues.
