As thousands of people along the Gulf Coast evacuate in preparation for Hurricane Milton, many have faced obstacles finding lodging that allows pets and others find pet fees at hotels cost prohibitive.

To combat this, The Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation is working with the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association to waive no-pet policies at lodging establishments in preparation for Hurricane Milton.

The following hotel brands have relaxed pet policies and/or waived pet fees across all Florida locations:

  • Marriott*
  • Hilton*
  • HDG/ARK Hotels
  • Kimpton Hotels
  • Innisfree Hotels
  • Rosen Hotels
  • Red Roof Inn Florida Locations
  • LaQuinta Hotels
  • Motel 6 Locations
  • Best Western Locations
  • Holiday Inn (Includes Express, Express & Suites, Club Vacations, and
  • Resort brands)
  • Staybridge Suites
  • Hotel Indigo
  • Candlewood Suites
  • voco Hotels
  • EVEN Hotels
  • Crowne Plaza
  • Avid Hotels
  • Atwell Suites
  • InterContinental

*The majority of Florida locations have relaxed pet policies and fees. People seeking lodging are encouraged to call the individual location to verify their participation.

For updates on this information, the DBPR is actively updating its emergency information page here. There is currently no information regarding when the pet policies and fees will be reinstated.
