Tampa movers assist with debris pickup

College Hunks Hauling Junk & Moving is working with the city of Tampa to help remove trash and debris ahead of Hurricane Milton.

The locally based company announced Monday it had formed a partnership with the city to help clear much of the wreckage that’s piled up in the aftermath of the previous storm. Hurricane Helene.

The need is evident for anyone whose driven through Tampa in recent days, especially near the water. The front lawns of dozens and dozens of homes along South West Shore Boulevard, between Kennedy Boulevard and Gandy Boulevard, are covered with ruined household items. 

The company has teams working in Ashville, North Carolina, as well.

In the Monday statement, the company says it already has teams on the ground and is mobilizing ahead of Hurricane Milton.

College Hunks was started in 2003 by college studentsand friends Omar Soliman and Nick Friedman. They started in a borrowed van using the business for extra spending money.

Today, it is a national moving and junk removal company with more than 200 franchise locations in 40 states and one in Canada.
