Frontier Airlines will begin offering nonstop service between Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD) this December.

Starting on Dec. 18, Frontier will provide flights three times a week between SRQ and ORD, according to a statement from the airline.

“We are delighted to expand our operations at SRQ this December, increasing the travel options available to consumers seeking to fly affordably between Florida’s Gulf Coast and the Midwest,” Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design for Frontier, says in a statement.

Chicago O’Hare International Airport will mark the fourth nonstop destination out of SRQ for Frontier. The low-cost airline also provides service between SRQ and Philadelphia (PHL), and Cleveland (CLE). On Oct. 12, the airline will begin flights between SRQ and Cincinnati, Ohio (CVG).
