The Qvale Auto Group in Lakeland recently sold two of its dealerships in the Tampa region, one of several downsizing shifts in the last several years.

Audi Lakeland and Volkswagen Brandon were recently sold to Atlantic Coastal Automotive for an undisclosed amount.

The transaction was handled by The Presidio Group, a banking firm headquartered in Denver with $18.5 billion in transactions in its portfolio, according to a statement.

Presidio has worked with Qvale to negotiate the sale of eight other dealerships in Florida and California since 2021, the release adds.

“The team at Presidio provides the best guidance in the industry, bar none, to dealers looking to buy or sell dealerships,” Founder Bruce Qvale says in a released statement. “They helped me find a great buyer in Atlantic Coast for these Florida stores. After four successful transactions involving the sale of 10 dealerships, I wouldn’t turn to anyone but Presidio for advice.”

Qvale Auto Group, founded in 1947, continues to operate Alfa Romeo and Maserati stores in St. Petersburg.
