Sea Salt, a seafood restaurant in downtown St. Pete, will be closing after being in business for 10 years. The last meal will be served at the dinner shift on Dec. 31, according to a statement.

“The past ten years have been nothing short of amazing,” says co-owner Ingrid Aielli in the statement. “We are so proud to have been a part of this incredible community and grateful for the memories we’ve made together. The friendships and connections that have formed here are what make this farewell bittersweet. We will forever cherish these experiences.”

Sea Salt bills itself as Venetian inspired "ocean-centric" cuisine and features a raw bar and lounge. While in business, Sea Salt won several culinary awards, including the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence.

Chef Fabrizio Aielli co-owns the restaurant with his wife Ingrid under the umbrella of the Aielli Group. The duo have several other restaurants in Naples including Grappino, Dorona, Barbatella and another Sea Salt location.
