A nearly 6,000-square-foot waterfront house on Marco Island has sold for $11.1 million, the second largest residential purchase in the Collier County city this year.

The house is at 680 S. Barfield Dr. and the buyer was not disclosed. County records have not been updated but they show the seller was a family trust with a Minnesota address that paid $6.6 million for the property in 2021.

According to MLS records provided to the Business Observer by the selling broker, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, a home at 1599 S. Barfield Court sold for $11.37 million in April. (The firm was also behind that sale.)

The 680 S. Barfield Dr. house has five bedrooms, six full bathroom and one half bathroom with views of Roberts Bay. It was built in 2020.

The centerpiece, according to a statement from Premier Sotheby’s, is a chef's kitchen equipped with high-end appliances and complemented by a custom wine room.

Dianna Spinuzza of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty’s Marco Island office represented the seller. Cathy Rogers, also from the office, brought the buyer.

Spinuzza says in the statement that the sale — and the price tag — “highlights the enduring desirability of the region’s luxury real estate market.”
