Sarasota Memorial foundation names new vice president

Patrick McQuillan has been with the organization, which supports Sarasota Memorial Hospital, since 2017.

The Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation  has promoted Patrick McQuillan to vice president of strategic philanthropy. 

In his new role, McQuillan will be responsible for strategic planning, program development and philanthropic initiatives related to principal and major gifts, according to a statement. He was previously director of development and strategic initiatives, for the foundation, which is the philanthropic partner for the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System.   

“Since joining our development team in 2017, Patrick has been instrumental in the philanthropic growth of the organization and is integral to the success of our record-breaking fundraising campaigns,” foundation President Stacey Corley says in the statement. “His commitment to our mission will continue to inspire our community to support Sarasota Memorial.”

Patrick has an extensive background in nonprofit fundraising. Prior to joining the foundation, he was the director of development for NCH Healthcare System’s foundation in Naples. He has also served as the director of development and special initiatives at The Boys & Girls Club of Collier County, the release states. Before entering the nonprofit sector, he worked on numerous political fundraising campaigns at state and federal levels.
