Fort Myers airport scores four new nonstop routes

Breeze Airways continues to increase its route network in Florida. 

The latest announcement is with Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers. The airline’s new routes, according to a statement will be twice-weekly and include: 

  • Stewart/Newburgh, New York, in the Hudson Valley north of New York City, Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Oct. 2. 
  • Lansing, Michigan, Thursdays and Sundays starting Oct. 3.
  • Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania, Thursdays and Sundays starting Oct. 3.
  • Bangor, Maine, seasonal, on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting Oct. 5 

This brings the total nonstop destinations to and from Fort Myers to 19. “We are very pleased that Breeze Airways has announced starting service in October to four markets not currently being served at Southwest Florida International Airport,” Lee County Port Authority Executive Director Ben Siegel says in the statement. 

Breeze also announced that it’s adding new nonstop service from Tampa International Airport to Pensacola and Bangor
