Breeze Airways, a low-cost air carrier that services Tampa International Airport, says it is adding new service from TPA to Pensacola and Bangor, Maine.

Breeze now offers 23 nonstop destinations from TPA. Recently added destinations include Orange County, California, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Service to Bangor begins Oct. 4, on Mondays and Fridays. Service to Pensacola begins June 28, on Mondays and Fridays, according to a statement.

The airline began service as a low-cost carrier in 2021 and chose Tampa as a hub.

Breeze's TPA nonstop service includes Akron, Ohio; Bentonville-Fayetteville, Arkansas; Burlington, Vermont; Charleston, South Carolina; Gulfport-Biloxi, Mississippi; Hartford, Connecticut; Huntsville, Alabama; Louisville, Kentucky; Madison, Wisconsin; Norfolk, Virginia; Pittsburgh; Plattsburgh, New York; Portland, Maine; Providence, Rhode Island; Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; Springfield, Illinois; and Syracuse, New York.

Breeze also has service to Las Vegas and Manchester, New Hampshire.

Joe Lopano, TPA CEO, says in the release that Breeze's Bangor route is the "first-ever nonstop service to Bangor," and came after Breeze had success with Portland, Maine.

Tampa is one of Breeze's bases of operation. According to a Breeze spokesperson, the airline has eight bases across the country, including Orlando, Hartford, Providence, New Orleans, Charleston, Norfolk and Salt Lake City.
