Atticus Frank has been named regional director of the Valuation Group in Florida for Ohio-based HBK Valuation, Litigation and Forensics. He will be working out of the Sarasota office.
The group he oversees also includes offices in Fort Myers, Naples, Stuart and Boca Raton, and his role entails developing new business relationships and referral sources in the Florida market. Frank’s focus is on gift and estate tax, transaction advisory and dispute and litigation support.
Before joining HBK, Frank was the vice president at Mercer Capital, where he worked since 2014, according to a statement from HBK.
Frank has a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Sewanee: The University of the South, where he earned an award for social sciences and also played varsity football, the statement says.
“We are excited that Atticus will be leading our Valuation, Litigation, and Forensics practice in the Florida market,” HBK Principal Robert J. Zahner says in a statement. “With his industry experience and expertise, he immediately bolsters our Valuation team while providing in-market support to our clients and the legal and financial community.”
In addition to professional expertise, Frank has strong ties to the community, serving on the State College of Florida Foundation’s asset management committee, Sarasota County school board’s financial advisory committee and Charlotte Community Foundation’s finance and audit committee.
“Upon meeting Atticus, it was immediately evident that he was not only well-suited for the role from a skills and expertise perspective, but also from a personality and client service perspective, a mix that we value highly in our firm and culture,” Zahner says. “Of note, Atticus is highly engaged in the community, and we are pleased to partner with him as he continues to develop those relationships.”
HBK has offices in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida. It is ranked No. 45 on Accounting Today’s list of the top 100 firms for 2023, with revenue of $143 million and 571 employees.
