A national wealth management firm has acquired an independent registered investment advisor that has an office in Sarasota.

Minnesota-based Wealth Enhancement Group acquired Atlas Fiduciary Financial, which has offices in Sarasota as well as Oakland, New Jersey.

“Our firms share a client-first approach to everything we do,” Chief Strategy Officer of Wealth Enhancement Group Jim Cahn says in a statement. “Our central resources will free up more of their time and increase their capacity so they can focus even more on delivering excellent service and advice to their clients.”

Atlas Fiduciary Financial, which has an office on Fruitville Road, was founded in 2020 and helps individuals in or preparing for retirement. It specializes in working with business owners, professionals and widows, according to a statement. Its team of six manages more than $219 million in client assets.

“We are building the financial advisory team of the future where we view the client as our only boss and where advisors are educated in finance not sales,” Atlas Fiduciary Financial founder and CEO Laura Mattia says in a statement. “Recommendations we provide incorporate the science behind investment theory and household economics, and we strive to protect our clients and help them make optimal financial decisions.”

With the addition of Atlas Fiduciary Financial to its portfolio, Wealth Enhancement Group has $85 billion in client, advisory, trust and brokerage assets.
