Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida recently announced three area business leaders as laureates to be inducted into the JA Business Hall of Fame.
The laureates are Miromar Development Corp. Founder and CEO Margaret Antonier; MY Shower Door Founder and president Bill Daubmann; and MHK Architecture Founder and President Matthew Kragh. The trio will be honored at an event planned for Thursday, March 28, at 5:30 p.m., at the Naples Grande Beach Resort.
The event, according to a statement, “honors influential, visionary leaders and organizations that have significantly impacted the educational landscape for local youth regarding entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy in Southwest Florida.”
Junior Achievement is a nonprofit founded to provide “young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices,” the release states. Locally, JA of Southwest Florida classroom business volunteers provided 160,865 hours of instruction to 12,259 students throughout Collier, Lee, and Charlotte counties in the 2022-2023 school year.
On the laureates, Antonier, the release states, leads a development company of 250 people. It was founded in 1988, and its projects include the Miromar Outlets in Estero. “My objective isn’t to develop a property quickly but to create a lasting impact with beauty and unique experiences,” says Antonier in the statement.
Daubmann founded MY Shower Door in 2003. The 190-employee enterprise, led by Daubmann; his wife, Donna; and their sons, Keith and Doug, now includes D3 Glass and MY Architectural Glass. Kragh, meanwhile, founded MHK Architecture in 2009. The firm has since grown to 10 offices from Naples to Aspen Colorado, and some 130 staff members. The company has worked on everything from luxury single-family homes to high-rise construction projects, the release states.
