A home in Lakewood Ranch has sold for $6.3 million. making it one of the highest priced transactions in the community’s history.

The house, in The Lake Club subdivision, is at 15420 Anchorage Place. The listing agent for the sale was Donna Soda with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.

Two other homes have recently sold for more money in the same ZIP code, according to an MLS report provided by Premier Sotheby’s. Both of those homes were in the nearby Concession Golf Club, also in east Manatee County. One home, 20830 Parkstone Terrace, sold in October 2023 for $6.75 million. The other, 8499 Lindrick Lane, sold in February 2022 for $7.98 million.

To call Anchorage Place property a house is to commit an act of understatement. The four-bedroom and four-full, three-partial-bathroom home shown in pictures could best be described as an estate or maybe even a mini-mansion.

Sitting on 1.59 acres, the 8,095-square-foot home has a lake view and comes equipped with travertine stone and wood flooring, archways and designer lighting and office, a wet bar, an elevator, and a walk-in climate-controlled wine room.

According to Premier Sotheby’s, the “owner's suite is a spa-inspired sanctuary, featuring French doors and exquisite details.” Soda says in a statement announcing the sale that the home “is a masterpiece designed for luxury living.” The sellers are Kathy and Greg Chorny

Lakewood Ranch, which is better known as an accessible community peopled by families than multimillion-dollar homes, is the top best-selling, master-planned multigenerational community in the country for six straight years. According the RLCO, a national real estate consulting firm, last year there were 2,257 sales, which was 22% above 2022. It was the second-highest sales year in the community's history.
