Leixir Dental Laboratory Group, a full-service dental laboratory network, appointed John Krier as CEO as of Jan. 2, according to a Monday news release from the Oldsmar-based company.
Krier succeeds Leixir founder Harmeet Bindra, who will continue as executive chairman, the company says.
Krier has almost two decades of executive leadership experience in the medical device manufacturing and distribution industries, the company says.
He joins Leixir from Dynatronics, where he was most recently president and CEO of the medical device company in Minnesota. Before that, he held senior roles in corporate strategy and commercial execution, including marketing and customer experience, over seven years at Breg Inc. of San Diego, a medical device company focused on orthopedic medical devices, according to Leixir officials.
Prior to that, Krier was president of Viscent of Dallas, which focused on orthopedic braces.
After he graduated from the University of South Dakota, Krier began his career at Deloitte, where he served in a variety of client-servicing positions over eight years with the firm, Leixir officials say.
Krier, in the statement, says Leixir is "well-positioned for strong continued growth as a dental lab provider of choice."
Leixir operates a network of dental laboratories that offer a range of products, including crowns and bridges, implants, surgical guides and dentures. Leixir's laboratories are "strategically located" to provide service to dentists throughout the United States, the company says.
