New Jersey-based automation machinery manufacturer Norwalt is moving into a new year with a new address and room to grow.

When the firm expanded to Tampa two years ago, it started out leasing 10,000 square feet from one of its longtime customers, local beverage company Cirkul. After successful growth during that time, it is now poised to spread out in a facility with almost three times the space at the Crossroads Logistics Park, according to a statement.

“Our expansion to Tampa has far exceeded our expectations,” says Mike Seitel, CEO of Norwalt in the statement. “The quality of talent we’ve found in Tampa has been incredible and has helped us accelerate our growth plans. Tampa has been an excellent choice for us and we look forward to continuing to grow our company in this market.”

With the new space, the company plans to add 20 additional jobs. The move comes after a 30% staff increase over the past two years. The Tampa Bay EDC connected Norwalt to the state’s quick response training grant to support its growing workforce, the release states.

Founded in 1971, Norwalt provides machinery for a number of industries including medical devices, food and beverage, personal and household, and telecommunications.
