Earlier this month, two Florida construction firms announced a merger that will springboard the new brand into 2025.

A.O Construction, founded in Winter Haven in 1960, merged with Wagner Construction, which has been based in Leesburg, Lake County, since 2001. The newly formed company is now operating under the moniker A.O Wagner Construction, according to a statement.

A.O. Construction specializes in full-service general contracting, construction management, and design-build services for a wide range of industries. Wagner construction is a full service commercial and industrial developer providing customer guidance from design to project construction.

“One of the big benefits of combining A.O. Construction and Wagner Construction is [that] we’re going to have a much stronger brand presence,” says A.O. Wagner Construction President Gannon Olmert in a statement. “We will now be able to leverage our combined strengths to produce a better end product for our clients, as well as providing cost savings and enhanced client service.”

Olmert has served as president of A.O since 2019 and retains the role under the new company.

According to the statement, the company plans to “tackle larger, more complex projects across a variety of market segments” with its combined resources, including shared technology and institutional knowledge.
