A real estate firm headquartered in Sarasota has been invited to join Forbes Global Properties, an exclusive network that supports independent agencies at the top of their markets. Specifically, Michael Saunders & Company leads the market in properties more than $2 million in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties.

The agency made the official announcement that it was selected to be part of the Forbes network during a Dec. 4 event at the Sarasota Art Museum.

“At Michael Saunders & Company, we see the added value, prestige and credibility of network partners who are selective in choosing their members,” Michael Saunders, founder and CEO of Michael Saunders & Company, says in a statement. “Aligning with a globally recognized brand like Forbes Global Properties further enhances our global reach while providing additional access to a network of top-tier real estate firms worldwide.”

Forbes Global Properties markets itself as creating a “curated consumer marketplace” showcasing a “coveted collection of properties and the stories behind them” online. Member firms are provided with a dedicated page on forbes.com as well as editorial and social media content as well as analytics.

“This affiliation will allow us to leverage exclusive marketing opportunities through Forbes' platforms, including its well-known magazine, website and social media channels reaching an affluent audience that trusts the Forbes brand,” Drayton Saunders, president of Michael Saunders & Company, says in the statement. “This will further distinguish our local luxury listings on a global scale.”

Forbes reports it has more than 100 million monthly visitors to its website from across the globe. Forbes Global Properties capitalizes on this audience to inform “high net-worth potential homebuyers and sellers about the finest properties for sale around the world,” according to its LinkedIn page.

Michael Saunders & Co., founded in 1976, now has 18 locations on the Gulf Coast of Florida, supported by a team of more than 600 agents and 150 support professionals.

“Michael, Drayton and their team of talented professionals exemplify Forbes Global Properties’ staunch prioritization of client service, professionalism and collaboration,” Forbes Global Properties CEO Michael Jalbert says in the statement. “A celebrated addition to our growing international network, Michael Saunders & Company is widely respected for nearly five decades of success throughout Southwest Florida and around the world.”
