$2.4B Clearwater yacht company adds to board

MarineMax, a Clearwater-based recreational boat, yacht and superyacht services company, has appointed Bonnie Biumi to its board, effective Sept. 1. Biumi, 62, will also serve as chair of the Audit Committee, replacing Hilliard Eure III, who is retiring from the board after 20 years of service.

“Bonnie’s exceptional financial acumen, extensive corporate governance experience, and proven operations background complement and elevate our board’s collective expertise,” Rebecca White, chair of the MarineMax board, says in a release. 

Biumi held finance roles for four decades, most recently as president and CFO of Kerzner International Resorts from 2007 to 2012. She also held senior-level finance roles at Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Price Waterhouse. She currently serves on the board of trustees of Kite Realty Group and the board of directors of Caesars Entertainment in addition to serving on the Audit Committee of both organizations among several other roles. 

MarineMax was founded in 1998 has approximately 125 locations worldwide, including over 75 dealerships and 65 marina and storage facilities. It is a publicly traded company, with $2.41 billion in revenue in 2023.
