St. Pete travel marketing firm acquired

Aqua Marketing and Communications, a firm specializing in destination marketing organizations, was recently acquired by another firm’s CEO.

Larry Aldrich, president and CEO of BrennSys, a marketing firm based out of Washington, D.C., that focuses on federal contracts, recently bought Aqua from founder Dave Di Maggio, according to a statement. 

“We are excited about the future of Aqua Marketing and Communications and are committed to delivering even greater value to our clients,” says Aldrich in a statement. “Our goal is to leverage our combined expertise to push the boundaries of what’s possible in destination marketing.”

Di Maggio, a St. Pete native, founded Aqua in 2010. After serving as president, he will remain with the company in a directorship capacity, the release states 

“After almost 15 years of building Aqua, I am thrilled to see the company evolve under Larry’s leadership,” says Di Maggio in the statement. “His vision aligns perfectly with our legacy and future goals.”

Aqua and BrennSys both recently brought on new high profile clients. Aqua was recently brought in as full-service marketing communications for Pensacola International Airport and BrennSys recently obtained a video contract for the Federal Bureau of Land Management, the release states, 

Aqua Marketing and Communications is headquartered in St. Pete and has offices in Fort Lauderdale and Charleston, South Carolina. With goals to take the company national, the entities have a combined 25 employees.
