2 Sarasota County residents appointed to State College of Florida board

Two Sarasota County residents have been appointed to the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota District Board of Trustees. Gov. Ron DeSantis' office announced the appointments of Jaime DiDomenico and Brittany Riner Aug. 16. 

DiDomenico, who lives in Nokomis, is vice president of The Wrench Group LLC, a home services company operating in 15 states. (The Wrench Group acquired the Sarasota-based HVAC services business he ran for decades, Cool Today, in 2019.) He is the treasurer of the board for the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota and DeSoto counties as well as treasurer for the board of directors for Meals on Wheels Plus of Manatee. He has a bachelor’s degree in management and master’s degree in accounting from Nova Southeastern University.

Riner, who lives in Sarasota, is the president of Liber Consulting, which helps achieve organizational change. She is currently appointed to the Florida Interagency Coordinating Council for Infants and Toddlers, is a former member of the Sarasota County Public Hospital Board and is the former chair of the Education Foundation of Sarasota County. Riner has a bachelor’s degree in history and Spanish from Duke University and a master’s degree from Stanford University.

Both appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
