Estero-based Residential Maintenance Solutions has been bought by The Henning Group, a Naples luxury remodeling and general construction company that will merge its operations.

In a statement announcing the deal, Henning says the purchase expands its “footprint in the remodeling market” and the combined company will offer its design-build services in the Bonita Springs and Estero areas.

The new company will now be known as Henning RMS and will be part of The Henning Group.

According to a spokesperson, Henning paid “approximately $2 million” for the business and the combined company will have 42 employees.

Henning RMS officials say in the statement that the plan is to “leverage the strengths of both companies to create a ‘one-stop-shop’ for design-build remodeling, where clients can access a comprehensive suite of services.”

Plans also call for a future design center in Estero.

Henning RMS will be led by presidents Scott Wilson and Bob DiBacco.

The Henning Group, according to a history of the company on its website, traces its roots back to 1924 when Danish immigrant Lars Henning started Henning Construction in Iowa. His sons expanded its offerings to include homebuilding and by the late 1940s it was a regional builder across several sectors.

His grandson Jeff grew the family business to include the building of multifamily residential, office buildings, livestock confinement facilities, food processing facilities and international construction management.

Heather Henning is the current CEO of locally based The Henning Group, which is a part of the Henning Cos. based in Iowa. According to the website, she oversees the Florida division.
