Breeze Airways is offering nonstop service between New Haven, Connecticut, and two airports in Southwest Florida, according to an announcement from the airline.

Fort Myers and Sarasota will launch flights to Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) in the coming months.

Starting Dec. 10, Breeze Airways will fly between HVN and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) in Fort Myers. The route between HVN and RSW will run Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, the announcement says.

Effective Feb. 7, 2025, the airline will offer service between HVN and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, or SRQ. Flights between HVN and SRQ will be offered Monday and Friday each week.

Officials say the addition of the flights, which comes a week after Breeze announced six other nonstop flights to SRQ, is part of a Northeast expansion strategy.

“From day one, our playbook has included significant growth across the Northeast region of the U.S. due to the high population density and limited nonstop travel options,” Breeze Airways Chief Commercial Officer Lukas Johnson says in a statement. “As more and more people experience our one-of-a-kind service and product, they will see what all the hype is about and why Breeze has grown so quickly in such a short period of time.”

Breeze Airways launched in 2021 with 16 destinations. With the addition of HVN, it now offers nonstop routes between 64 cities across 30 states, according to the airline.

Headquartered at Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, Breeze Airways reports it is in the final stages of getting certified to fly internationally and plans to sell service on international flights before the end of the year.
