After 40 years in business, Air & Energy is getting a new president. And while it is a change, the business will remain in the family.

Stewart Moon Jr., son of owners Trudy and Stewart Moon, has been appointed president of the air conditioning, plumbing and electrical company based in Bradenton.

Moon has served in a variety of roles within Air & Energy, according to a statement sent on behalf of the business, which serves Manatee County and Longboat Key. He has done everything from sweeping floors to acting as the vice president of the company, the Business Observer reported in 2017. He was also named a 40 Under 40 winner in 2019.

In his new role, Stewart Moon Jr. will be responsible for promoting growth, overseeing strategy and operations and ensuring the company’s continued success.

“It is a natural transition for Stewart to step into the senior leadership role," Trudy Moon says in the statement. "Under his leadership, the company will continue to thrive and serve our customers with excellence for another 40 years."
