Nucleus Security has made two additions as the Sarasota-based cybersecurity company readies to scale its operations to meet growing demand.
Jeremiah Grossman was appointed to the board of directors, and Tamir Hardof was named chief marketing officer for Nucleus Security, according to a statement the company issued Wednesday. Both have decades of experience in the cybersecurity sector.
Grossman is managing director for Grossman Ventures, after founding WhiteHat Security and Bit Discovery, both of which he led to successful acquisitions. He has served in leadership roles at Tenable, SentinelOne and Arkose Labs and is on the board of RedShield Security.
"We're incredibly excited to have Jeremiah join our board to help guide our company's growth,” Stephen Carter, co-founder and CEO of Nucleus Security, says in a statement.
In February, Nucleus Security raised a series B funding round led by Arthur Ventures and Lead Edge Capital, which brought its total funding to $43 million. The funds are being used for the company — which provides enterprises with digital vulnerability management — to scale go-to-market initiatives, accelerate innovation and growth as well as support customers.
"Enterprises today are challenged to sift through all vulnerability scan data and create prioritized, actionable remediation steps. Nucleus uniquely addresses this problem, leading organizations to mitigate vulnerabilities 10 times faster," Grossman says in a statement, adding he looks forward to “guiding Nucleus as it brings the solution to one of the most important challenges in cyber-security.”
Hardof agrees that Nucleus Security brings something unique to the market.
"Nucleus has a proven and differentiated approach, uniting people, processes and cutting-edge technology to place customers squarely on the path to program maturity,” Hardof says in a statement.
Hardof’s past experience includes marketing leadership roles at Axis Security (acquired by HPE Aruba Networking), Kenna Security (acquired by Cisco), WhiteHat Security (acquired by Synopsys), Fortinet, Juniper Networks and Check Point Software, according to a statement.
While Nucleus Security continues to scale, “Tamir's proven track record of brand building and marketing will be key to accelerating our ability to meet this market opportunity,” CEO Carter says.
As chief marketing officer, Hardof will lead corporate, product and partner marketing activities.
