Apollo Construction & Engineering Services, a Hillsborough County-based general contractor focusing on industrial, commercial and institutional projects, has been acquired.

The new owner is Irvine, California-based Z10 Group, a business consulting group in construction, manufacturing and home services. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. The deal, according to a statement, closed March 13.

Based in Ruskin, Apollo Construction & Engineering Services was founded in 1987, according to its website. Thomas Kamprath founded the company and remains president. The company, its website states, has done work at the Piney Point Phosphate Plant in Manatee County and installed fans for the baggage handling tunnel at Tampa International Airport. It’s also done work at the Port of Manatee and the Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library.

The sale was facilitated and announced by Dallas-based Generational Group, a middle market investment bank for privately held businesses.
