JLL has relocated its Tampa offices to a new, larger space.
But it didn’t go far. The commercial real estate firm moved 16 floors last week, going from the 11th to 27th floor in Truist Place, a 36-story downtown office tower on Jackson Street.
The new 20,000-square-foot office gives the firm 20% more space, according to news release. In all, the about 100 of the firm’s local employees will be based in the new office.
Along with the extra space, the new office — designed by the architecture firm Gensler and JLL Work Dynamics — is a mix of open workspaces, private offices, breakout sections and conference rooms, the statement says. It also has a fully equipped café for employees to socialize, meet with clients and host events.
By moving into the larger space, JLL can bring its eight lines of business that work in the region together under one roof. Prior to this, some of the lines were based at the previous office and others located elsewhere, a spokesperson says.
Those lines are: office, retail and industrial brokerage services; hotels & hospitality; capital markets and servicing; project development services; work dynamics, and property management.
Chicago-based JLL has offices in 80 countries, including eight in Florida. Along with Tampa, there is one office in Sarasota. The firm employs more than 106,000 and has annual revenue of $20.8 billion.
