Chicken fast-casual franchise expands into Sarasota

A popular fast-casual chicken restaurant will open its first Sarasota location in October. 

Slim Chickens, an Arkansas-based operation, has over 200 locations across the U.S. and in the U.K. With a goal of opening 600 restaurants by 2025, the expansion in Florida is just heating up with nine having been announced so far. 

The Sarasota location is expected to create 75 new jobs alone. The franchise, operated by Florida’s Best Chicken, is hosting open interviews every Tuesday onsite at 4096 Jenkins Place, Sarasota.

The chain is known for its chicken tenders that come with a choice of 17 house-made sauces.
