The city of North Port is getting a new digital look.

The city has redesigned its official website, NorthPortFL.gov, to focus on bringing services and features that are the most clicked on to the forefront including links for paying bills, finding a permit and applying for a job.

According to a press release, the new interface is more user friendly, with improved navigation, faster load times and a design that represents the city’s brand.

"Our city is focused on providing services to our community quickly and efficiently, and this cutting-edge website is another tool in the toolbox to continue providing them," City Manager Jerome Fletcher says in the release.

The city reported 2.5 million unique page views in 2022 to its website. The unique page views data is the aggregate of pageviews generated by the same user during the same session.

The redesign, which is expected to grow site traffic even more, included content migration, design, employee training, mobile responsive design and accessibility enhancements. The site’s design was last updated in 2010.

North Port is in the southeast corner of Sarasota County, neighboring the southern end of Venice. The city is home to CoolToday Park, where the Atlanta Braves host spring training, and master-planned community Wellen Park.
