B2 Communications, a public relations agency in the Tampa Bay and Central Florida regions, has changed owners.
Missy Hurley, who co-founded the public relations agency in 2010, acquired co-founder Kyle Parks' shares of the company and has become the agency's sole owner, the company says in a news release.
Hurley led the operational and financial functions for the agency, in addition to counseling the firm's clients in effective communications, through 13 years, B2 officials say. Hurley will move from principal and co-owner into the CEO role.
"B2's next chapter will focus on delivering exceptional communications counsel for our clients, while evolving to address emerging issues, like responsibly using AI in PR," Hurley says.
B2 Communications is a PR agency that works with companies across the country. It was founded in 2010.
Parks will continue to work in the public relations field. B2 officials say Parks started a communications consulting firm, Parks PR.
Parks remains available to assist B2's clients with communications strategy as one of B2's PR network partners: PR practitioners who work alongside the agency's staff to bring industry knowledge, specialized skills or additional capacity to clients, say B2 company officials.
B2 works with companies in technology, private equity and professional-service sectors on their strategic communications. Most recently, B2 was awarded a public relations contract with Port Tampa Bay, the firm says.
