A 22-unit high rise in downtown Sarasota is nearing sellout after its groundbreaking just four months ago.

The ultra luxury condominium residence, Peninsula Sarasota, already has 16 of the 22 units under contract. It broke ground on the project May 26.

The remaining units include four standard and two penthouse spaces. According to its website, unit prices start at $3.7 million. The project is at 223 Golden Gate Point.

“Peninsula Sarasota is getting a lot of interest. While nearly half of our buyers already call Sarasota home, other buyers are coming from as far away as Texas, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio and New York,” Coldwell Banker Realtor Georgia Salaverri, one of the agents marketing the property, says in the release. Steven Windsor is the other Realtor marketing the residences.

Situated next to the Ringling Bridge, Peninsula Sarasota will provide views of both the Sarasota Bay as well as downtown. It’s expected to be completed in December 2024. The project is being developed by Gault Family Cos., a Connecticut company, in conjunction with Sarasota-based Hoyt Architects.
