Toll Brothers is building 148 new homes in Punta Gorda.

The luxury homebuilder announced the new development Tuesday and says the houses are going to be built off of Tuckers Grade Road near Tamiami Trail.

Toll, in a press release, describes what it’s building as a master-planned community that eventually will include a clubhouse, a dinning terrace, a food truck deck and an outdoor activities space. The builder did not give a timeline for when the features will be completed.

It also did not respond to questions about whether if this is indeed a master planned community, will other builder eventually be involved or much acreage is it building on.

What is known is that Toll Brothers announced there will be 148 home sites in two collections. There will 12 home designs that range from 1,917 square feet to over 3,516 square feet and an onsite design studio. Toll Brothers also did not respond to a question about what the homes will cost.

The development will be called Toll Brothers at Willow. Construction has started on a model home and sales center. Sales are expected to start early next year.

Pennsylvania-based Toll builds in more than 60 markets in 24 states. This will be its fifth development in Southwest Florida.
